Led by the team and CEO of Okoko Cosmétiques which has become an internationally distributed luxury indie beauty brand, the mission of OHOB is to leverage the success, mistakes and relationships that we have developed over the last years to accelerate the growth of indie beauty brands to stand out in a saturated market. Oyéta Kokoroko

Oyéta Kokoroko is a Canadian entrepreneur, mentor and author for natural skincare. She is the Founder & CEO of Okoko Cosmétiques & House Of Brands, an award-winning and high-performance natural skincare brand based in Vancouver.

Oyéta founded her brand back in 2016 and it was her first business and first launch that was self-funded. Through hard work, determination and drive, she built and grew a skincare business that was launched in many countries leading to six figures revenue in her second year of business, seven figure total revenue after the fourth year and partnerships with international retailers, a growing team of 5 (plus contractors) and a marketing team.

Natalia Lavaggi

Natalia Lavaggi is certified skincare formulator, mindset coach and mentor. She is a formulator and maker at Okoko Cosmétiques , an award - winning and high - performance natural skincare brand based in Vancouver. Over the last few years, Natalia has contributed to elevating the brand with her combined experience in retail sales, content creation and communication.

With over 17 years of experience in the beauty industry, Natalia’s experience began early in her career as a certified cosmetologist, dermocosmetic educator and sales associate for René Furterer (high-performance scalp & hair care brand).

Neha Hobson

Neha Hobson is a content creator in the ethical beauty niche. With over 15+ years’ experience in the beauty industry, Neha combines her skills in professional makeup artistry, business coaching, education and beauty writing to offer an array of professional services for beauty brands.

This includes professional product reviews and copywriting, as well as Instagram collaborations to create awareness, increase traffic and build credibility. Her business, Beauty By Neha was awarded "Women's Empowerment & Ethical Beauty Advocate of the Year 2020" in the Health, Beauty and Wellness awards recently.

Maribel Colón

Maribel Colón is a leading expert with over 16 years of experience on the quality, compliance, auditing and validation in the cosmetics and life science industries.

She was born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico where she obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. She also consults for Fortune 500 companies in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, OTC (Over The Counter), and cosmetics, while focusing on areas such as QMS (Quality Management System), regulatory compliance, process improvement, new products set up, auditing and training. She has worked with companies such as Pfizer, GE Healthcare, Amgen, Abbott, Shire, PepsiCo, Apple, among others in roles such as Process Improvement Engineer, Sr Quality Engineer, Director of Quality and Regulatory Compliance and Lead Auditor.

John Swain Jr.

John Swain Jr. is a lawyer and professor of management, entrepreneurship, corporate strategy and business law. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he comes from a family of entrepreneurs in the media, retail, and banking industries. He has practiced law in Canada and the US, where he has focused on serving new, emerging, and underserved middle-market companies in the areas of real estate, corporate law, commercial transactions, and new market development. His work with clients includes business planning, organizational structuring, acquisitions, dispositions, capital formation, and intellectual property protection. He has taught or lectured in areas of business law and entrepreneurship in undergraduate, MBA, and executive MBA, and entrepreneur accelerator programs.
